Garage Door Questions, Answered

The questions we get asked most in Martin and Weakley County.

Should I replace one spring or both?

If the door runs two springs and one has broken, the other has done exactly the same number of cycles. Doing both now usually costs less than a second call-out in a few months, and the door stays balanced.

Is it worth insulating a garage door?

On an attached garage, or one sharing a wall with a bedroom, yes. On a detached cold store, usually not. We will tell you which one you have rather than selling up.

Do you take card payment on site?

Yes, and you get an itemised receipt by email. Parts ordered specially may need a deposit up front, which we will say clearly before ordering.

How long should new springs last?

A standard spring is rated around ten thousand cycles - four to seven years in a normal household. Higher-cycle springs cost a little more and are worth it on a busy door.

Still stuck?

Describe what the door is doing and we will tell you what it needs.
